Special Applications - Law Enforcement Vehicle Armor

Patrol officers are the first responders in more and more incidents involving gun use. And all too often, the firearm in question is a rifle. PROTECH's Law Enforcement Vehicle Armor (L.E.V.A) system offers NIJ Level III for door panels and bulkheads and Level IIIA protection for door panels, windshields, bulkheads and windows.

Two Levels Of Protection
L.E.V.A. 3+ System
The L.E.V.A. 3+ System includes an advanced ballistic door panel which is optimized to match OEM equipment plus provide protection against AK47 and .223 (5.56mm) rounds. The L.E.V.A. 3+ System is also available for bulkheads.

L.E.V.A. 3A System
If the threats in your area don't call for rifle protection, the L.E.V.A. 3A kits protect against handguns and are offered for car doors, windshields, bulkheads and windows.

L.E.V.A. Is Cost Effective
The L.E.V.A. system is remarkably cost effective. Much less expensive than armoring entire vehicles, the door panel system is reusable and can be transferred to new vehicles when older vehicles are taken out of service. Its six-year warranty far exceeds the typical two-year life cycle of most patrol cars. It can be installed by the agency's own motor pool on cars they already own.

Currently, kits are manufactured for the Ford Crown Victoria, with other custom kits available.
